Many of the RC Model Hot Air Balloon teams attend a variety of events throughout the year, proudly showcasing their impressive balloon collection. From local festivals to larger ballooning gatherings, they love sharing the beauty of their balloons with spectators and showcasing them alongside full-sized and special shape hot air balloons.
It’s not just about flying it’s also about connecting with communities, enjoying the atmosphere, and making memories while spreading the joy of ballooning!
As the planning for the 2026 ballooning season gets underway, we will continue to update events as information becomes available. These events showcase full-sized and special shape hot air balloons as well as the RC models.
January 4, Donnington Grove Hotel & Country Club, Newbury.
The Icicle Balloon Meet is a legendary gathering that has earned its place as the world’s longest-running hot air balloon event. Known for its crisp winter flights, it brings together balloonists and enthusiasts who relish the challenge and beauty of launching in the cold season.
May 29-31, Ragley Hall Alcester, Warwickshire.
A weekend of family fun that brings together the very best in aviation entertainment. The 2026 event will feature famous nightfire show, breathtaking air displays, and stunning hot air balloon launches that fill the skies with colour and wonder.
August 7-9, Ashton Court, Bristol.
The Bristol International Balloon Fiesta is back from 7–9 August 2026 at Ashton Court Estate, Promising three unforgettable days of colour, spectacle, and celebration. With over 100 balloons from across the globe, the skies above Bristol will come alive in breathtaking dawn and dusk mass ascents, while the famous Nightglow shows will light up the evenings with music and magic.
August BH, Telford Town Park, Telford.
The Telford Balloon Fiesta is a vibrant annual celebration featuring hot air balloons, live entertainment, and family-friendly activities. Held at Telford Town Park over the August Bank Holiday weekend.
September 11-13, Longleat, Wiltshire.
Set to be a breathtaking aviation extravaganza, transforming the skies above the historic Longleat Estate into a stage of colour, sound, and spectacle. This showcase event brings together hot air balloons with the thrilling displays of aircraft, offering visitors a rare chance to witness two worlds of flight side by side against the backdrop of Longleats stunning grounds and stately home.
